jdbc vs hibernate

Many of the negatives you listed are no longer applicable with Hibernate and JPA:
* No configuration / mapping files needed - You can use annotations
* No need to write HQL Queries - there are some named Queries needed - many IDE automatically generate them
* Not complex - Classes generated by IDE like Netbeans

Reasons for using Hibernate:
* No or very little coding needed with Generic DAOs and Spring Hibernate Templates
* Clean object oriented design - even implement object oriented relationships
* Second level cache improves database performance
* Why reinventing the wheel?
* Works well with Spring
* Easier to maintain

You may avoid Hibernate if your database is having:
* Bad old legacy database design
* Too many stored procedures
* Relations between objects are complex

There may be 200 others who may come back and say that using an ORM is bad. This is one of the most debated items in many boards. But my 2c - to have fast turnarounds ORM is a must.

I think that it depends on the kind of task that you are going to solve.
Hibernate uses JDBC for executing queries.

Hibernate is really good if you have real-world entities that are represented in db as tables. You can manipulate by these entities, add/delete etc....Also it makes sense to use it in the big project to improve reusability, scalability and speed of development.

But you can get into trouble when you need to create some big complicated, aggregated report or you have non-standard queries that requires a lot of inner selects, joins that requires data from different tables. Usually such types of queries have performance constraints.
For this case you need to user JDBC or IBatis to have flexibility of buidling sql query.

I am tired writing post so many, this time will discuss CDAC DESD COURSE 2010 Batch and coming bacthes CDAC 2011
CDAC DESD course mainly for embedded course or embedded system course or vlsi course.
Its actually a training course similar to Vector Hyderabad embedded course but it's much better than Vector ..

DESD is mainly for electronics and electrical and mainly it has c and datastructure in its content.

Hi this post is after 6 months to the last post as i changed job ..

HERE I AMGOING ONLY TO TELL ABOUT CDAC DAC COURSE
If you guys are planning to fill the forms for CDAC than just check all details on www.cdac.in so there are many courses CDAC DESD conducted by Hyderabad but got centres in Pune,Hyderabad,Bangalore,Mohali i think not sure etc -
and like cdac pune conducts a course DAC but that doesn't mean that the test will be only in pune its everywhere Noida CDAC ,Pune CDAC,Hyderabad..,Bangalore..,Chandigarh..etc but if you qualified than you will be joining according to your rank either in Pune ,Bangalore and other centre which will be in the list.In 2009 Hyderabad centre had removed DAC course and the students selected are sent to PUNE this is exceptional case and i was also in Hyderabad that time cdac keeps on adding new centre for the same course and so i don't know exactly how many centres right now have DAC course.
Let me give you some rank detail for the courses and who should go for which course
CDAC DAC course -mainly for CS and IT (If you from electronics or electrical etc don't go )
CDAC DAC course consist mainly C language,data structure den Java,.net, and many things,they have each week module test these all will be modules guess in CDAC DAC Pune course its around 13 modules but don't worry module test has objective and subjective questions and answeres and just do team work you can easily clear.
Cdac 2010 dac course or entrance exam happens 2 times in a year 1 near about January and other August (Please keep on looking for cdac exam from January if you are in final year).
1 more condition is if you have bec in last semester you can join cdac 2010 but may be if you cant clear till end of cdac you cant sit for companies and also if you have less than 60% in BTech than you cant sit for many companies but you get placed from outside if you really worked hard in CDAC .
Only join cdac if you can live sleeping 4 hrs or either you got fine knowledge in Btech
Now as per ranking DAC course Pune is best than CDAC Bangalore
2009 has a good batch from mostly got placed from Pune as well as Bangalore and CDAC 2010 dac will be much better as market improved lot.
